Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HireSecurityNow.com collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and services, including our directory of private security companies, our free quote-request service, and our informational content. It also describes your privacy rights and how to exercise them.
HireSecurityNow.com is operated by BC ECOMMERCE GROUP, S.A.S. de C.V., a company organized under the laws of Mexico ("HireSecurityNow.com," "we," "us," or "our"). Although we are based outside the United States, our website is directed to users in the United States, and we handle information in accordance with applicable US privacy laws as well as Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP). By using the site, you agree to the practices described in this policy, including the transfer and processing of your information as described in the "International data transfers" section below.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers and contact information: your name, email address, phone number, and the city or ZIP code where you need service, when you request quotes, contact us, post a review, or create or claim a company profile.
- Quote-request and commercial information: the type of security service you need, timing, budget, and any details you choose to include in your request.
- Professional / company information: if you represent a security company, the business information you submit to claim or manage your listing, and documentation used to verify your authority to represent the company.
- User-generated content: reviews, ratings, recommendations, messages, and other content you submit.
- Account and transaction information: if you register an account or purchase a paid listing or service, login credentials (stored in hashed form) and billing details. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor and are not stored by us.
- Internet and device activity: IP address, browser type and settings, device identifiers, pages visited, referring pages, and similar analytics data collected automatically when you browse the site.
- Coarse location: the approximate city/region inferred from your IP address or the service location you enter. We do not collect precise GPS geolocation.
- Anti-fraud signals: when you rate or recommend a company, we record your IP address and a browser "fingerprint" (a non-identifying technical signature) solely to prevent duplicate or fraudulent votes. This signal is not used to identify you and is not shared with third parties.
We collect this information (a) directly from you, (b) automatically as you use the site, and (c) from public and third-party sources — including public state licensing records and public business directories — which we use to build and maintain company listings.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, government-ID numbers, health, biometric, or precise geolocation data), and our services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 16.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and route your quote requests to relevant security companies
- Connect you with private security companies in your area and let them respond
- Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the site and its content
- Create and maintain company directory listings from public and submitted information
- Verify that people claiming company profiles actually represent those companies
- Process payments and manage paid listings or subscriptions
- Communicate with you about your requests, account, or a listing
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
- With your consent where required, send occasional updates or promotional emails about security services
You can opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email or through our contact form. Opting out will not affect service or transactional messages related to a request, account, or listing.
3. How we share your information
Quote requests are shared with security companies. When you submit a quote request, we share your contact information and request details with one or more security companies on our platform that serve your area and offer the service you requested, so they can respond. By submitting the form you consent to this sharing and to being contacted by those companies (see our Terms of Service for the contact-consent terms).
We also share information with:
- Service providers (processors) that operate the site on our behalf under contracts requiring them to protect your information — including website hosting and infrastructure (e.g., Vercel), database hosting (e.g., Neon), transactional and marketing email delivery (e.g., Resend), payment processing (e.g., Stripe), and analytics (e.g., Vercel Analytics).
- Law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HireSecurityNow.com, our users, or the public.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or with third parties for their own independent marketing.
4. Cookies, analytics, and your choices
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies in two categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function (navigation, security, session, and saved preferences such as your city or service selection).
- Analytics: help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it (e.g., Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights).
You can set your browser to refuse cookies, alert you when cookies are set, or delete stored cookies; disabling some cookies may affect how the site works. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as an opt-out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information to the extent required by law.
5. International data transfers
HireSecurityNow.com is operated from Mexico, and our website infrastructure and service providers are located primarily in the United States. As a result, information we collect from you — including if you are a US resident — is stored and processed in the United States and may be accessed from Mexico and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Data-protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the site and submitting information to us, you acknowledge and consent to this cross-border transfer, processing, and access. We take steps intended to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — for example, we keep quote-request information for the period needed to service and follow up on the request and to maintain business records; account and listing information for as long as the account or listing is active; and transaction records for the periods required by tax and accounting law. After that, we delete, anonymize, or archive the information, subject to legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements.
7. Data security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and hashing of account passwords — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
8. Your US privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, US privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and comparable laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states — may give you the right to:
- Know / access: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of parties with whom we share it.
- Delete: personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct: inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Data portability: obtain a copy of certain information in a portable format.
- Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising: we do not sell or share personal information or use it for targeted advertising; if that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide the required opt-out mechanisms first.
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
- Appeal: where required by state law, you may appeal a decision on your request.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through our contact form and identify it as a "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
9. Your rights under Mexican law (LFPDPPP)
As a Mexican-operated business, we are also subject to Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. Under that law you may have the right to access, rectify, cancel, or object to the processing of your personal data (the "ARCO" rights) and to withdraw consent. You may exercise these rights through our contact form.
10. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party websites (including the websites of listed security companies and official government registries). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites; their own privacy policies govern your use of them.
11. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact us
