Terms of Service

Last updated: July 4, 2026

Welcome to HireSecurityNow. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

1. What we do

HireSecurityNow is an online directory that connects people and businesses looking for private security services with security companies across the United States. Our services include:

  • A directory of private security companies
  • A free quote-request service
  • Informational content about hiring private security
  • Tools to check state license information for listed companies

2. Acceptable use

When using the site, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful, accurate, and current information when submitting requests
  • Not use the site for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
  • Not attempt to access restricted areas of the site
  • Not scrape, overload, or otherwise interfere with the site's infrastructure

3. Our role — we are a directory, not a security provider

HireSecurityNow operates solely as an informational directory and a platform that connects users seeking security services with independent providers. We do not provide security services ourselves, we do not employ the companies listed, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a provider. We are not responsible for:

  • The quality, legality, safety, or availability of services offered by third-party providers
  • Negotiations, agreements, or contracts between users and providers
  • Any loss or damage arising from services you hire through or after using the platform

We encourage you to perform your own due diligence before hiring any security company, including independently confirming the company's current license status with the applicable state regulator and verifying insurance and any other legal requirements.

4. Where our company information comes from

Company profiles on HireSecurityNow are built from the following sources:

  • Public state licensing records — such as the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), which publish license status for private security companies
  • Public business directories and records — identification, location, and contact details from publicly available sources
  • Information provided by the companies themselves when they claim and complete their profiles on the platform

HireSecurityNow does not guarantee the accuracy, currency, or completeness of information from third-party sources. License status can change at any time; listings reflect the information available as of the last update shown on each profile. Always confirm license status directly with the state regulator before hiring.

5. Company profiles and your right to correct them

Security companies in our directory may have profiles generated automatically from public records. If you represent a company listed on HireSecurityNow, you may:

  • Claim your profile to add, correct, or update the published information
  • Request a correction of any inaccurate data
  • Request removal of your profile from the directory

To exercise any of these options, use the “Claim this profile” option on the company's page or reach us through our contact form. We aim to respond to these requests within 5 business days.

6. Quote requests and consent to be contacted

When you submit a quote request, you authorize us to share your contact information and request details with one or more security companies listed on our platform that serve your area, and you consent to being contacted by those companies by phone, email, or text regarding your request. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is handled.

7. Reviews and user-generated content

Reviews, ratings, and recommendations published on HireSecurityNow reflect the personal opinions of the users who submit them and do not represent the views or endorsement of HireSecurityNow. By posting a review, you represent that it is based on a genuine experience, is truthful, and does not contain defamatory, offensive, or false statements or content that infringes the rights of others.

HireSecurityNow may moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these terms or applicable law. Listed companies may respond publicly to reviews about them and may request review or removal of content they believe is inaccurate or unlawful through our contact form. HireSecurityNow does not guarantee the accuracy of user opinions.

8. Intellectual property

All original content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of HireSecurityNow or its respective owners and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Data drawn from public government records is used in accordance with the public-access terms that apply to those records.

9. Disclaimers

The site and all content on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, insurance, or professional security advice; content is for general informational purposes only, and no attorney-client or advisory relationship is created by your use of the site. 10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireSecurityNow will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, our services — including any dealings with providers found through the site. Your use of the site is at your own risk. In jurisdictions that do not allow certain limitations of liability, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of this site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
